Good Morning Worshipers! Are you ready to worship? Prepare your hearts to enter His courts with  and to worship in Spirit and Truth! God has a Word for you . Are you still enough to listen and really hear? Is He revealing some corrective, affirming some choice, moving you to step out in faith or to be still and know? Abide, receive, then go and thrive in Christ. Prov. 3:5-6 keeps appearing to me the past few days. You lnow it, right? Don't lean on your own understanding or thinking, acknowledge God in all your ways and he will direct your steps. Turn off the noise and focus on Truth and THE WAY and allow Him to direct.  we will look at Romans 12 and the reminder to offer yourself as a living sacrifice. Have you? Are you? Will you? That is an ongoing command to be holy (set apart) and pleasing to God (a sweet aroma) as you allow Him to prune an prepare you. He has great plans for you and us for the year ahead. Maybe choose a fast to begin the year as you allow that to focus you on God and empower your praying and guide your choices. Yes Trust in the Lord with all your hearts and do not lean on your own thinking or force your plans and ways. He is Jireh--enough and all we need. He is the Way Maker. He is the Potter. Are you being clay in His hands and allowing Him to form you for His purposes for you? Try and know much peace and joy. Begin with worship and abiding in his love and allow that to flow through you . Check out the connection blog and Jesus Calling devo below as you pray, offer yourself and prepare to worship, grow in trust and obey . Amen!

 - The Holy Spirit Directs People to Jesus

“Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit’” (John 3:7-8).

“But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me” (John 15:26).

When someone chooses to follow Christ, we can be certain it is because the Spirit has drawn him. Apart from this work of the Spirit, there are none who seek the Lord, none whose hearts are ready to receive Him. But when the wind of the Spirit blows upon a person, it is always to lead them to Jesus - the Way, the Truth, and the Life. (John 14:6)

Thank You, Lord, for sending Your Spirit to draw me to saving faith in Jesus! Please blow on my church and lead anyone who doesn’t yet know Jesus to salvation in Him! Holy Spirit, would you move in our city, and across our nation to bring many people into God’s family through the powerful name of Jesus? Send a spiritual awakening throughout the earth so that all will know that He is God!

--Adapted with permission from The Summit Church (thesummitchurch.org) we are inviting you into 21 days of prayer and fasting at the beginning of this new year! Each day will focus on a different biblical attribute of the Holy Spirit.

The founding pastor of Summit Church is Bill Elliff, who is now the pastor Emeritus and serves on the Executive Leadership Team of OneCry (onecry.com). You can find one of Bill’s books,  Prayer with No Intermission at prayerleader.com.

“Our business in prayer is not to prescribe, but to subscribe to the wisdom and will of God; to refer our case to him, and then leave it with him.”       —Anonymous
