Good Morning Trusting in the Lord and His Faithfulness Followers of Jesus! Amen! He is creator, sustainer, Savior, redeemer, refiner, healer, deliverer, counselor, helper and friend. PTL! And He is so much more! Be still in worship and praise . Lift your prayers and concerns, release His power and provisions, and receive His peace, wisdom and help. COME! HELP! Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! Amen!
That dreaded "C" word can be scary, especially with a possible cancer diagnosis with family and friends. How do we resppnd and how do we help? Start on your knees. Cry out for help, strength, deliverance and miracles. Pray for God's shalom to overwhelm all. And choose to trust our all-knowing God. He knows, cares, is with us and allows things according to His purposes. Lean hard into Him and receive His shalom and wisdom. He promises to be working all things together for good for those who believe. Don't loose faith and keep trusting that He has a plan and knows what He's doing. Invite Him to walk with you always. He will and He will be your comfort and strength. Amen! 's Our Daily Bread struck a little closer to home as God really spoke to my heart through it and Psalm 31:13-18 (below) included with it. Then meditate on Eph 6:12-13 and strap on that armor in prayer and prepare to stand firm in Christ and on God's Word in this dark and fallen world. God is for us! He loves you and is calling you by name. Draw close and cuddle in His loving arms as you prepare for whatever dark valley He may have for you to walk through. Reach out to some partners to walk with and pray with you too. And then worship in trust. Psal 18:6 says, "In my distress I called upon my God and cried for help. He heard me." He knows, cares and hears you . Be still and know and be determined to persevere and stand firm. I'm praying for you and all of us to do so--no matter what. Amen!
Psalm 31:13-18 (Do you see our country in this and/or yourself as you persevere through some hard stuff? Turn this to a prayer fo faith)
13 I have heard the many rumors about me, and I am surrounded by terror.
My enemies conspire against me,
plotting to take my life.
14 But I am trusting you, O Lord,
saying, “You are my God!”
15 My future is in your hands.
Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly.
16 Let your favor shine on your servant.
In your unfailing love, rescue me.
17 Don’t let me be disgraced, O Lord,
for I call out to you for help.
Let the wicked be disgraced;
let them lie silent in the grave.[a]
18 Silence their lying lips—
those proud and arrogant lips that accuse the godly.

Hope in Faith
Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord. Psalm 31:24
Kristin’s son had died from cancer when he was just seven. Now, three years later, her older son was diagnosed with a terminal illness. Friends who were not believers in Jesus grieved with her, but they couldn’t understand why she continued to trust Christ. “How could your God allow this? Why keep believing in Him?” they asked.
For Kristin, however, it was an even stronger reason to keep believing. “I don’t understand why this is happening,” she said, “but I know God will help us through this. Only God can give me hope to keep going.”
Such a hope and trust kept King David going when he found himself in overwhelming circumstances. Surrounded by enemies seeking his destruction, he probably couldn’t understand why all this was happening to him. Yet he knew he was following a God he could trust to deliver and bless him in His time (Psalm 31:14-16). This certain hope enabled him to keep submitting to God and to say, “My times are in your hands” (v. 15). And it uplifted him, such that he could also say, “Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord” (v. 24).
In times when we feel overwhelmed and there seems little to look forward to, we know we can hang on even more tightly to God and the life-giving hope He alone provides.

REFLECT & PRAY
What do you need to keep going through life’s challenges? How does God’s promise of hope give you joy and strength even in hardship?
Loving Father, You know my struggles and doubts. Please give me the faith to keep trusting in You and the strength to keep going.
As Jesus hung dying on the cross, He spoke the words of the Psalms. We’re familiar with those from Psalm 22:1: “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (see Matthew 27:46; Mark 15:34). The words communicate deep pain and a kind of hopelessness in the face of utter despair. The circumstances of both David and His true heir, Jesus, led both to cry out in anguish.
But the words that Christ quotes just before surrendering to death carry a different note: “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit” (Luke 23:46). Here, He quotes David again—but the words of Psalm 31 point to an unshakable confidence in the goodness of the Father despite suffering. When we face overwhelming pain and suffering, the words of this psalm lead us to hold on to the Father just as Jesus did. We share the same hope as the Son of God.
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
