DONUT DAY!!! (10-12) And Pizza Party Dinner Huddle and Study (6-8)

Good Morning Overcomers! Amen and PTL! We are overcomers in Christ! Check out the Connection blogs and pray through them. The prayer starters are focused on leaders and so is 1 Peter 5 that we will study . We are all leaders and overcomers in Christ. He created us for such a time as this and has great plans to use us overcomers to lead others to Him and His love and good ways. Amen! Help us Lord! Check out the Upper Room too teaching about praying for others. That usually opens the door for more conversation too. Pray in the moments as you go and encounter those in need of prayer. It is profitable for you, them and the Kingdom. God has plans, is able and will use us overcomers. Check out The Word for You  below too.  we had a great time of gathering, sharing and discussing concerns, and praying on Zoom Huddle. God is not hindered by the miles and we even laid hands on Terry through our computer screens.

Gotta fly. May God bless you and use you well  and at our gatherings. Join one or both and bring a friend! God is in the building and in our hearts and prayers. Amen! Come Lord! Lead and use us . Thanks! Amen!

 - Overcomer!

Father, Your Word says that I am an overcomer because of the blood of the Lamb, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the word of my testimony—that in Jesus, all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and I have been given fullness in Christ and share in His authority over every spiritual power and authority! But I confess that I do not feel like an overcomer, and I often give in to the influence of this world instead of submitting to Christ.

O God, save me from myself! May I be full of Your Spirit and Your mighty power—the power of the resurrection! Teach me and use me, that I might be one who sees strongholds demolished in my life and help others to walk in freedom. Thank You, Father, that because I belong to You in Christ Jesus, You surround me with Your presence—that You are a wall of fire around me.

You, O Lord, are my refuge and my strength. In every situation and struggle, You are with me. I will not be afraid for my trust is in Your name. Like Joshua, may I be confident that You are with me and will never leave or forsake me. By Your Spirit at work in me make me to be strong and courageous, to not be afraid or discouraged, but always mindful that You are with me wherever I go. Use me to take back ground that the enemy has stolen. Help me to be self-controlled and alert, knowing that the enemy of my soul is prowling, looking for an opportune moment.

In Jesus’ name, strengthen me to submit to You, resist the enemy, and to stand firm in my faith! Give me, I pray, Your perspective of the situations I face and may I live victoriously, as a conqueror, because of Jesus and His love for me. May I be full of faith and Your Word, for I belong to You, Lord Jesus, and You have overcome the world!

Prayer Points

  • Praise God as the one who sets up leaders and deposes them (Dan. 2:21).
  • Give thanks for your own opportunities to lead others.
  • Confess any negligence or cowardice in leadership.
  • Commit yourself to being a leader of integrity wherever God gives you influence.
  • Ask God to grant you wisdom as you influence your children, friends, employees, and others.
  • Pray for “all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness” (1 Tim. 2:2). Pray that leaders who uphold God’s principles will be brought to power throughout the world so that the gospel will be unhindered.

Upper Room : Got a Minute

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other. - James 5:16 (CEB)

I used to work with a man who I knew to be a Christian and who prayed fervently. Once when I was scheduled for a medical procedure, I asked him to put me on his prayer list. He turned to me and said, “Got a minute?” When I said I did, he put his hand on my shoulder and prayed with and for me right then. Afterward, he explained that he developed the habit of praying in the moment when someone asked to be put on his prayer list so he would not forget. Not only did I feel better after we prayed, but this occurrence changed my prayer life as well.

If I do not make a note, I am prone to forget things, especially as I have gotten older. I have since learned that when people ask me to put them on my prayer list, if we pray right then, they know they are being prayed for and I am less likely to forget later during my daily prayers. Now when I receive a prayer request, I also respond with, “Got a minute?”

's Prayer

Dear Lord, give us daily opportunities to pray with others. Give us the confidence and courage to pray right then and the words to speak so that they hear your voice through us. Amen.
