Good Morning Abiding Servants of Revival! Yes and Amen Lord! May we abide then thrive as your servants of revival in our neighborhoods this year. Thanks! Amen! Think about that awhile as you abide  and seek first His Kingdom and righteousness.

Some of you know that I have been struggling to draw close, abide and be still in the Lord since my extended time off. I can always come up with excuses (I'm good at that and at complaining about things without doing anything to change them). Forgive me Lord! Draw me close again. Amen! Could that be your prayer too? Busyness, my agendas and to do list and the things I perceive as important often crowd out my quiet abiding time and leave me feeling like God has left me to my own devices. Now I know He never leaves nor forsakes me and that He has great plans for me. But, sometimes, those plans come to pass after a dry spell and then a deeper reconnecting to God and His perfect will and plans. It takes me not just praying to die to self and take up cross daily, but an earnest effort to turn off the noise and refocus on what is important--Father, Son and Spirit and abiding before thriving in them. What might you need to crucify  to be ready to draw near to God? What noises and busyness are keeping you from intimate time with our Lord and Savior? Is He really Your Shepherd ? Have you heard His still small voice and are you stepping into His anointing for you ? Help me Lord! Forgive me! Help me to be still, and abide and know You more before stepping into  and the good future You created and gifted me for. Thanks! Amen!

You know, I often seem to fight God most when He has something extraordinary awaiting my surrender and obedience. That is where I find myself lately. I know He's there knocking with a great plan for me, yet I don't open the door and invite Him in. When I do--WOW! God moves and revival comes to me. That is my prayer . I find myself fighting God about entering into His presence in new and different ways with the book "Missional Spirituality" that we are starting on , evenings and the one many of you took from church. I firmly believe God has something extraordinary awaiting me and you and us as we still ourselves in His presence and engage with abiding in new and different ways. It is a way to seek first His Kingdom, hear His still small voice and draw near to Him. It will help us hear that whispering still small voice and learn new ways to connect top and stay connected to Him. It will lead us to personal revival and allow His Kingdom to come and will to be done in, through and around us. I know it. So why am I fighting God? Could it be Satan attacking? Could it be my own self-serving stubbornness? Could it be fear of having to change or new things to come? I think maybe all of these? I will find I as I commit to this process and watch for the Lord to move, revive and lead me to His best plans.

I am inviting you to join me and to earnestly make an effort to still yourself, crucify some things and learn to abide and then thrive in new ways. Amen!  we begin discussing the book and  God is leading us to do the same. We are doing the first 4 days . I'm asking the extended church family to do the same. Fast. Pray, record what God is saying and wants to do. Be still and pray some more and then use even familiar passages like Psalm 23 and the Lord's Prayer to draw you into His loving presence and invite Him to revive you and your prayer life and to lead you to His perfect plans for you and for the want to to want to do it! Amen! Try it! Extraordinary things are around the corner as we abide deeply and then thrive in Christ and His good ways. be still and know. Pray, prepare and get ready to go! On your mark. Get set in the Lord and go be His vessels. Amen!

Check out this reminder from Connection blogs: https://www.onecry.com/post/his-presence-is-enough. Soi many things I am seeing are inviting me deeper in abiding and stilling myself before the Lord. Open the door with me! He's knocking!
