Good Morning Praying Friends! Our cry to God is tt teach us to pray. Just like the disciples wanted Jesus to teach them, we ask God to do so for us. One of our requests is to become a House of Prayer for the Nations and that takes all kinds of prayers and pray-ers. There are watchmen on the wall sounding the alarm and calling to prayer and action. There are prayer warriors, battling the enemy from their knees. There are intercessors lifting others and situations to the Lord's presence. There are worshipers, praising God and bringing heaven to earth like the worshipers marching around Jericho. God wants us to pray and uses our prayers to influence his responses to people and circumstances. We all know we need to pray yet many shy away or forget to pray before responding or acting, only asking God to bless after they find themselves at the end of the rope. We know that anything of value in the Kingdom has been launched and sustained through earnest, persevering praying.

while huddling with a friend using the book we have, Missional Spirituality, we  discussed home Satan loves to distract us from prayer and action. Satan be gone! That's often my plea. I know that often Satan distracts from things God really wants to use in my life. Often we have to cast that serpent aside and push through and then experience God's best and blessings. Such was the case  and as we pushed through, God spoke and refired us and is leading us deeper into His presence and good ways. PTL!  He wants to use the book and our surrendered and focused hearts and prayers. It's true that as we push through and draw close to God, He will and does draw close to us. Amen. So, armor up. head to the prayer closet before stepping out in faith  and listen for His still small voice saying, "Go this way." Contemplate the Connection blog below relating to this and go live and love and pray like Jesus. Seek first His Kingdom and righteousness and he will lead us to all we need to produce good and lasting fruit  while covering and protecting us from that evil one. Amen! Maybe partner up and cover each other too. God is with us and for us and has great plans to discover as we pray and step out armored up and in faith. Where's He leading you ? Go! Rejoice! And keep poersevering in prayer and service unto the Lord. Amen!

 - Persevering Prayer

There is a reason that Jesus taught us we must “pray at all times and not lose heart.” We have a great adversary that seeks to distract us from prayer, knowing it is our most powerful weapon. We are weak in our flesh and can easily give up. But we must “ask and keep on asking” if we are to receive. The unrighteous judge in Jesus’ parable was moved by the widow’s unceasing requests, and God is moved by our persevering prayer.

Prayer is warfare. It is a fiercely contested conflict. The enemy yields only what he must. He yields only what is taken. Therefore, the ground must be taken step by step. Prayer must be definite. He yields only when he must. Therefore, prayer must be persistent. He continually renews his attacks; therefore, the ground must be held against him in the Savior’s name.

Lord Jesus, in Your mighty name and power I will be strong! Each day I will put on the full armor of God so that I can take my stand and hold my ground against the devil’s schemes. I will buckle Your truth around my waist and put on the breastplate of righteousness! I will fit my feet with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. I will take up the shield of faith so that I am able to extinguish the evil one’s flaming arrows. Putting on the helmet of salvation, I will take up the sword of the Spirit – the very word of God – to use whenever I am tempted or threatened! The devil is no match for Your word! I will pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests, and I will be alert and awake – always praying for all of Your people!
