Good Morning Lost but Found Followers of Jesus! Amen! Thanks Lord! I'm really struggling and wrestling with God lately about the fact that we are not making disciples of Jesus that make disciples. That is our mission and we are not connecting to any generation, let alone the next couple. Why? Is that God's plan for us? We are doing what we can with what He's provided? But is there more He desires? Are we missing out on something good He has for us or are we to just stay comfortable as is and drift away until the money runs out? I don't think so! We are created, gifted, gathered and sent for such a time as this! PTL! Send us! Who do you know and are praying for that God may be calling to His love and salvation? Where are we seeing revival fires being lit that we can be part of? How can we pray, learn to pray and learn to become a House of Prayer for the Nations?
It all starts with and trust. PTL for all He is and all He's given and pray for revival and to use us and connect us with the harvest and trust God to provide and guide. And come to Him with prayerful, thankful, willing hearts. he does have plans for us. We just have to figure them out and step into the, and that takes prayer and willing feet. God wants everyone to come, even those we think are beyond saving. Our job is to pray and serve them into the Kingdom. Check out the Upper Room reminder that we are all important to God and that He is still seeking and saving the lost. And then our part is to join Him in that and to make disciples that make disciples of Jesus. And we all have a part. What's yours? Seek first His Kingdom and righteousness and He will give you all you need to succeed at your part. Amen and PTL! Let us commit to live, love, pray, serve, and do our part to be His disciple makers and world changers. Father, Here we are. Send us, Teach us to pray, to live, to love and to make disciples like Jesus. Grant us the want-to to want to follow you. Help us to glorify You and fulfill our purposes and mission. We need You! Come! Have Your way with us and grow us in our created potential to be Jesus like in all we think, say and do. Help us turn off the noise and focus on You and what really matters-Your Kingdom come and will be done. Amen!
UR: Lost and Found
In the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. - Luke 15:7 (NIV)
We have been raising a few hens, and one day we discovered one very young chick was missing. We were deeply saddened by its disappearance. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to locate it. We speculated about where the chick might have gone. After a week, we were driving to church when my wife saw our missing chick approaching the car! We pulled over, caught the chick, and put her in a box we had with us. There was not enough time to go home and put her in the coop, so we went to church and the chick stayed in the car during the service.
The joy our family felt at finding the lost chick reminded me of God’s happiness when the lost are found. In Luke 15, Jesus uses three parables to teach us the importance of finding the lost and bringing them back into the fold. In the parables, the sheep wanders, the piece of silver vanishes, and the prodigal son wastes his wealth on frivolous living. Nevertheless, the shepherd searches the woods, the woman sweeps the house, and the forgiving father waits for his son to return, ready to greet him with a hug when he does. In God’s eyes everyone is important and nobody is unwanted.
's Prayer
Dear Jesus, help us to follow your example of love and mercy so that all who are lost will find their way to you. Amen.
